SharePoint in Non-profit sector
This case study gives an overview of features of a Management Information System and Logical Framework Analysis embedded in it. It also entails how Allied Consultants has resolved the challenges of ARROW (NGO) by using SharePoint as the integration platform.
ARROW (Asian-Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women) is a regional nonprofit women’s organization based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It works for the sexual and reproductive health and rights of women, and has a consultative status with UN ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council of the United Nations).
As ARROW’s operations are spread over a broad geographical area and manages a large number of diverse projects, the absence of a proper information system leads to scattered data rendering it useless. A Management Information System (MIS) solves this problem by keeping all important information in a central repository and providing access to the management.
