The client is a manufacturer of semiconductor solutions for mobile communication systems. Apple, Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi are its major customers. The client was facing several following problems:

  • Tedious manual processes e.g., Onboarding a new recruit.
  • Error-prone manual data transfer from one system/app to the other
  • Manual synchronization of business data across different systems

Solutions

Allied proposed to build Enterprise Integration Applications and Data Pipelines for automating the synchronization and transfer of business records and data and streamline the business processes.

Microsoft Azure iPaaS (integration Platform as a Service) was used to serve as middleware to establish automated interaction and communication between different systems. It comprises reliable, secure, highly available, scalable, and maintainable integration services to build data-drive pipelines.

Solutions

Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory were used as integration engines to:
  • Transform and enrich data/messages
  • Communicate with HTTP compliant APIs

Azure Storage Accounts was used to:

  • Persistently store unstructured data and files
  • Host server files for Azure Functions etc.

Azure API Management was used to:

  • Centralize and manage HTTP-compliant communication of internal services

  • Implement easy querying of logs for tracking purposes
  • Have overall system’s run history over a specific period of time

Om-prem Data Gateway was used to connect the cloud hosted middleware with the on-premises data storages and systems
